At Kid Town Nursery School, we strive to be life long learners right alongside our students. Through the power of inquiry, we plan our curriculum based on the interests of the children. Using our knowledge of the Reggio Emilia theory of teaching, we develop provocations and projects that touch on each component of an academic experience in a wholesome and organic way.
Who We Are
Kid Town Nursery School is a small play-based and learning inspired nursery school enrolling children 15 months of age and older and influenced by the Reggio Emilia approach to teaching. Located in Plainville, Massachusetts, we follow a school year schedule with Summer options.
Since opening in 2019 as a small one room home-based school, we have grown and expanded to a new space that boasts three indoor classrooms, a studio and three outdoor classrooms, and we are honored to have been named the Mansfield-Attleboro Hulafrog's Most Loved Preschool in 2021 and 2022.
Kid Town Nursery School is licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care.
Programs
With roots that delve deep into the Reggio Emilia theory of teaching, coupled with a thoughtful indoor and outdoor environment, our teachers strive to instill a love of learning and a respect for nature in all who visit our space. Our classes spend a large chunk of time outside in all types of weather. We believe that children are capable and independent, and we place a large emphasis on the social-emotional aspect of early childhood education.
Kid Town Nursery School Mission
Kid Town Nursery School is a part-time educational program inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach to education. The school serves young children 15mo-6 years of age as of September 1st of the current enrollment year, regardless of the child or family’s race, religion, cultural heritage, political beliefs, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation or disability, and the school will not discriminate based on toilet training status. Kid Town Nursery School strives to provide an exceptional environment which fosters a love of learning, nature and exploration among the children, families and educators. The school fosters a close relationship with families and encourages participation.
