At Kid Town Nursery School, we feel that teaching social-emotional intelligence is imperative to the growth and development of young children. We are fortunate to work with a pediatric OT semi-monthly. We work with Occupational Therapist Justine Callinan M.Ed., OTR/L, CEIS to incorporate traditional OT practices such as fine and gross motor development and self regulation in an open ended, play based and nature inspired setting.

 

Our sessions with Miss Justine teach our preschool aged children tools to help recognize, navigate and manage big feelings. This is an incredible resource not only to our students but also out teachers. We also consult with Miss Justine on tools we can implement in the classroom to help our classrooms run smoothly and successfully.
